As a programmer myself, I have often found revision control necessary.
As a professor teaching programming, I have seen many students waste their
time on debugging that could have been avoided with revision control.
The main purpose of this article is to introduce the concept of
revision/version control, and to include a brief tutorial to use
revision control tools.
