1 Stage 1: the salt dispenser and salt chamber

For now, the salt container is a small plastic vial, and the salt is gravity fed to the “chamber” using a small 2.5mm diameter brass tube.

The bottom of the vial will be slightly cut to get a flat surface, then it will be drilled through using a 2.5mm bit. A small segment of the brass tube will, then, be glued to the bottom of the vial.

At this stage, we need to find out whether table salt can pass through the brass tube only with gravity. If there is not an issue, then the next item is to find the best method to measure the same amount of salt to dispense in the chamber.

The chamber is a cavity that is used to hold salt for the next blast. As such, it should collect a fixed mass of salt each time, assuming the blaster is held in a more-of-less upright position.
